Kinetic art emerged from the French impressionist movement post WWII and evolved out of a fascination with motion and movement. Kinetic art can present itself in a myriad of ways from mobiles, mechanical sculptures or to Op Art paintings which seem to move, pulsate or rotate. Kinetic artists present the viewer with some of the most consummate expressions of modern art's concern with interpreting rather than representing substantive reality.
Along with Master Yaccov Agam, experience the Contemporary artists below, all of whom have contributed to the advancement of the Kinetic and Op Art movement.

"I work with geometric abstraction; the goal of my work is both the interest in the re-contextualization of the foundational ideas of Abstraction. I’m interested in points from concrete art, constructivism, kinetic and op art, permitting free transits and reconnections between forms and ideas belonging to different periods, traditions and categories in my own work.-Cristina Ghetti
