People and their stories inspire me, and I paint them large as they should be, in bold abstract shapes and bright colors. By using the simple material, acrylic and spray paint on the canvas, I am simplifying the narrative. These are not portraits of specific people, although each piece carries a real name. These are the portraits of time and space we have to create for each other to break small talk, surface level communication and free ourselves to give more.
