Realtors have been staging homes since before the dawn of the 21st century, but oftentimes it takes more than a coat of off-gray paint and the banishing of too many family photographs and old shag carpets to close a deal.
The recent opening of Ai Bo Gallery on Purdy Avenue has inspired conversation within the real estate community about the importance of having big and bold canvases on blank walls, especially on new construction home walls.
We joined the Georgio Reddington team (Chelsea and Jennifer) of Compass this week for a tour of the gallery. After owner Glenn Aber and his invaluable assistant Alice Sung explained the provenance of many of the paintings and sculpture, we talked about unleashing the power of art at open houses and high-end home preview parties.
The only remaining question is: Who will be the first realty team to take the concept to the walls?
