Patrick Rubinstein is a French artist, born in 1960 in Paris. His childhood marked him lastingly and would later feed his artistic language. Paris saw the time of British rock, cinema and American pop.He grew up in a family that made him very aware of art. He inherited his passion for cinema from his mother, and an inventive spirit from his father as he was the first to introduce Patrick to the techniques of kinetic art. At the age of 18, he sells his first work of art. Then it is only many years later, that Rubinstein perfects his technique and his artistic language to offer the internationally recognized works of today. By starting his own movement «Kinetic Op art» he is considered one of the pioneers of kinetic art. With his three view paintings he creates a visual experience and engages the viewer by moving around the artwork to produce movement. A multi-talented, polymorphous artist, he is known for exploring different themes . With a unique approach and creative vision, he manages to embrace different stylistics that he borrows from figurative art, pop art, geometric abstraction and surrealism to create baroque and kinetic artworks. He plays with shapes, colours, materials and movement. The artist continues to explore new creative horizons and to surprise the viewer with his unique artworks. He is considered an artist in constant evolution. His hunger to always explore and to surprise his audience leads him to sculpture. He is above all an unclassifiable artist. Like a pianist going from jazz to classical music but always coming back to his piano, he explores all the possibilities while constantly coming back to kineticism. That’s the artist’s freedom
