Abstract expressionism traditionally idolizes individual moments. My bold abstractions tell entire stories through vivacious mixed media like acrylic and spray paint with a focus on climax and culmination– the end results of real interactions. I work entirely in abstraction because I’m seeking abstract themes from the in-between. My multidisciplinary practice spans studio painting, public murals, and client commissions, united by a signature sense of gesture and purpose. Stories serve my greatest inspiration, but their perspective springs from my own.
In my latest work,I draw inspiration from the remarkable women’s resilience. “All The Hats We Wear” series is my response to how we, as women are wearing all the different hats throughout life situations without even pausing to question. It is in out nature, no matter of the momental state of mind-we are all resiliant and stronger that we think. I use photography as a starting point in my creation where i capture face expretions of my subjects. Later, in my paintings i give them life and embrice their emotional intensity with color and abstract movement. And I am looking forward to experiment with a diverse range of mediums in to creating sight specific instalations that will inspire conversation. As I embark on this journey, my work fervent desire to pay homage to the multifaceted nature of womanhood.
