This piece allowed me to explore a finely sculpted face with carefully composed wind-blown hair. The structure of the hair brings movement to the piece in a delicate counterpoint to the serene expression. The piece was modeled from photographs of Ophelie Guillermand, a French super-model with a uniquely compelling facial structure. The patina was developed over many layers of metal paints, oxides, waxes and powdered metal to get this balanced glow. The piece rotates on its stand and can be viewed from all directions. Custom four-post pedestal can be created in a height specified on request.
