Cristinia Ghetti was born in Argentina and lives and works in Valencia, Spain. She received her Bachelor and Masters in Fine Arts, from UPV, Sant Carles Polytechnic University Valencia, Spain. Her Doctoral Thesis on “Post Medial Geometry” is focused on research on the development of new geometries in Visual Arts.
Cristina’s work encompasses points from concrete art, constructivism, kinetic and op art, permitting free transits and reconnections between forms and ideas belonging to different periods, traditions and categories. She uses digital tools to materialize art pieces in different formats; abstract ad kinetic art and Op art. Within the context of new technology, Cristina interrelates geometry, color, movement and sound, using the languages developed in the conceptual territory of abstraction. Her paintings are generated first in the computer, and then translated to traditional painting, mixing and playing with media crossings.
